Fashion BA (Hons)

The programme enables you to acquire a range of design practice skills and technical knowledge to support career progression within the fashion industry.

The subject has strong links with industry, invited guest speakers, live projects, and work experience. Internship opportunities are embedded within the curriculum. You will develop a major collection to a professional catwalk standard in your final year study.

The programme will also develop professional and entrepreneurial skills for application within the creative industries. Graduates are well-equipped to gain employment in the fashion industry as designers.

Three years full-time, or four years full-time with Foundation Framework.

Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer would be BCC at A level, DMM at BTEC or 112 UCAS points. In addition applicants are expected to have studied an Art or Textiles related subject in an A level or BTEC level 3 Diploma, or equivalent qualification, or a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.

Applicants are interviewed and are requested to provide a portfolio of their own work in Art and Design. Students with a relevant HND or Foundation Degree with a suitable profile of achievement may be admitted onto year two or three.

Foundation Study Framework entry requirements: Admission to this foundation programme is normally DEE at A level, MPP at BTEC or 64 UCAS points. However, we would also like to hear from you if you have professional or industry experience, a range of other qualifications or self-developed subject knowledge that relates to the programme you wish to study.
