Engineering HND

There has been an increase in the Engineering market, both here in the UK and globally, for well-qualified engineers with a wide variety of knowledge and skills. This programme has been designed to provide a solid foundation in engineering and covers the key principles, as well as the professional skills required to be an effective engineer.

Our engineering programmes have been designed in conjunction with industry. This ensures that our courses will prepare you for the demands of modern engineering and related industries. The programme is delivered by a specialist team with significant industrial experience using the latest learning and teaching technology.

The programme offers you the opportunity to undertake an optional industrial placement integrated in year two. The placement can be with your employer, via an independently sourced placement or a paid placement through the ‘Northants Engineering Training Partnership’ (NETP). Formed in 1988 as a limited company, the NETP is collaboration between The University of Northampton and local engineering companies, which provide paid placements opportunities for university students. For further information visit the NETP website.
