Engineering BSc (Hons)

Engineering is a dynamic and growing sector, which has led to a demand for well-qualified engineers with a wide variety of knowledge and skills to meet a global market. This programme has been designed to provide solid foundation and covers the key principles of engineering, as well as the professional skills required to be an effective engineer.

Our engineering programmes have been designed in conjunction with industry. This ensures that our courses will prepare you for the demands of modern engineering and related industries. The programme is delivered by a specialist team with significant industrial experience using the latest learning and teaching technology.

The programme offers you the opportunity to undertake an optional industrial placement integrated in year two. The placement can be with your employer, via an independently sourced placement or a paid placement through the Northants Engineering Training Partnership (NETP). Founded in 1989, NETP is a collaboration between the University of Northampton and local engineering companies, which provide paid placements opportunities for university students.

The programme is accredited by the IMechE at IEng level.
