Computer Games Development BSc (Hons)

If you enjoy developing computer games from scratch, enhancing the user interface or have an interest in the expanding and exciting industry of computer games development, then apply for this innovative degree programme. This course will develop the technical knowledge and skills necessary for you to be able to work within the computer games industry. You will focus on the programming and development of computer games, as well as their graphical design in 2D and 3D formats. You will also examine the entire lifecycle of game development from the initial idea through to the final release stage as well as the development or improvement of future games and their player platforms.

The University is recognised as “Unreal Academia” an official training site for Unreal Engine.

Recent graduates have entered into a number of different computer games development sectors, including software development and graphics and visualisation.

Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer could be BCC at A level, DMM at BTEC or 112 UCAS points. Applicants will be expected to have achieved GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent) at grade C or above. We welcome international applicants and applications from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications. Those who do not have English as their first language will need to demonstrate that they meet the minimum English language requirement of IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent).
