Computing (Computer Systems Engineering) BEng (Hons)/MEng

In this course you will learn about the wide reaching influences that computers and their background technology and programming have on the world, as well as the current limitations of these systems.
This integrated postgraduate programme offers you the opportunity to expand your current learning and understanding of a range of complex computing topics. As part of your qualification you will undertake a group industry project, investigating an area of your choice under the guidance and support of a personal tutor. Graduates from this programme have developed their independent thinking, flexibility and maturity especially within computer systems design, development and operation but also have an appreciation of the importance that computer systems have within the wider industry.

Includes open access computer suites and teaching rooms. Students may also benefit from having their own laptops if they choose to do so.

Career opportunities

  • Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer is BTEC qualifications of MPP, A level grades of DEE or 112 UCAS points.
  • GCSE Mathematics or equivalent at grade C or above.
  • Previous experience of computing is desirable.
  • We welcome international applicants and applications from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications.
  • Those who do not have English as their first language will need to demonstrate that they meet the minimum English language requirement of IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent).
