Computing HND

This exciting industry is growing and graduates from this course are well placed to drive forward future advancements in computing.
You will appreciate the wide reaching influences that computers and computing technology have on the world, as well as current problems or issues that this reliance may cause. This two year programme introduces a wide range of fundamental principles pertinent to computer technology, its development and its use around the world. From these broad general principles, you will be able to specialise within a particular computing area, or continue to study multiple computing disciplines, thus maintaining flexibility for your future career options.

Includes open access computer suites and teaching rooms. You may also benefit from having your own laptop if you choose to do so.

Career opportunities
Graduates have progressed onto the BSc (Hons) Computing course and postgraduate study. Many graduates have entered into a number of different computing areas, including computer systems hardware development, computer networking, software development and internet technology.

  • Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer is BTEC qualifications of MPP, A level grades of DEE or 64 UCAS points.
  • GCSE Mathematics or equivalent at grade C or above.
  • Previous experience of computing is desirable.
  • We welcome international applications and those from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications.
